My Short notes of 2012 NUSS Badminton AGM for your advance information

Dear NUSS Badminton Family,

1)      Thank you for our attendance;  The AGM went smoothly – Hope more of us could make it next year…thinking of having it earlier in Dec in event no quorum, so have more time to re-convene before middle January deadline.

2)      Some highlights:

-        No new nomination for key office bearers; All willing to serve for another term of one year (Give thanks to all of the office bearers)

-        The 2012 P&L was approved;  Healthy surplus!

-        Membership landscape – Expected to be affected "negatively" by subscription fee increase in April 2013;  MC is looking into ways to defray the fee increase by organizing more events for general members' benefit, etc (See my earlier separate email on notes of the 17 Dec 2012 briefing session on subscription fee increase)

-        SBH Pentangular Tournament  with positive feedback allowing younger players (not eligible in ICML) an opportunity to participate & against "fun/new" players

-        Continue to use Protech shuttle (goose feather)

-        Identify and encourage more of us to be 1^st Aider trained in AED + CPR

-        KC Lim given special award (S$100 Li Ning voucher) for his dedication in managing the Section Nights, welcoming newcomers, etc

-        Continue to find ways to show appreciation to members who gave of their time and commitment such as participation in tournament, etc
